THE HISTORY OF BACK TO THE BIBLE CANADAEstablished in 1957 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Back to the Bible Canada is a non-denominational Bible teaching and engagement ministry dedicated to connecting people to God through the power of His Word in communities across Canada and beyond. We seek to honour God, value people, champion the Bible, advance ministry, and promote and practice stewardship in fulfilling our mission. Using a multi media approach to ministry, we are absolutely committed to faithfully and creatively teaching the truth of God’s Word in such a way that engages those searching for God, while also empowering the spiritual growth and maturity of believers. Located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Back to the Bible Canada broadcasts coast to coast, airing over 1,200 programs weekly. We are also committed to the extensive use of innovative online, email and mobile technology to reach as many listeners as possible in Canada and around the globe.
A generation ago, most Canadians had at least some knowledge of the Bible, but with the increase in the secularization of society over the past three decades, biblical illiteracy is rising. This is why the ministry of Back to the Bible Canada is more important than ever before. The Missionary GodHave you ever wondered how men and women from different nations of the earth have welcomed Jesus as their savior? Watch this new 7-week video series studying the central mission of the church - The Great Commission. We’ll explore questions like “Why is it that God can allow so much suffering in the world? And, why has God commanded us to make disciples? There are so many challenging questions, and though they may make us feel uncomfortable at times, they require bible-focused responses. Why is it that whenever discussions about missions begin, they are centered around us rather than God? Why did God make a world where not everyone is saved in the first place? In this message, we explore how all creation and missions should have the same purpose: bringing glory to God.
