THE HISTORY OF BACK TO THE BIBLE CANADA

Established in 1957 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Back to the Bible Canada is a non-denominational Bible teaching and engagement ministry dedicated to connecting people to God through the power of His Word in communities across Canada and beyond. We seek to honour God, value people, champion the Bible, advance ministry, and promote and practice stewardship in fulfilling our mission.

Using a multi media approach to ministry, we are absolutely committed to faithfully and creatively teaching the truth of God’s Word in such a way that engages those searching for God, while also empowering the spiritual growth and maturity of believers. Located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Back to the Bible Canada broadcasts coast to coast, airing over 1,200 programs weekly. We are also committed to the extensive use of innovative online, email and mobile technology to reach as many listeners as possible in Canada and around the globe.

A generation ago, most Canadians had at least some knowledge of the Bible, but with the increase in the secularization of society over the past three decades, biblical illiteracy is rising. This is why the ministry of Back to the Bible Canada is more important than ever before.

Introducing “An Easter Series”

Enjoy a two-part Easter video special featuring the teaching of Dr. John Neufeld along with inspirational music from guests Brian Doerksen and Stephanie Reddicopp! While we may not be able to enjoy the same Easter activities we have in previous years, we can continue to celebrate the promises and truths that rise from the empty tomb. Jesus is always with us.

Part One: Why Jesus Was Crucified

It may seem obvious to many but it’s a question that must be asked and must be understood. Why did Jesus have to die? In part one of An Easter Series, Dr. John Neufeld digs deep into our understanding of this one foundational question. The answer is simple and clear: sin. Jesus died on the cross because of sin. Now let’s review many of the critical old and new testament passages of scripture that will help us understand the size, depth and ultimate resolution to the problem that ultimately resolved in the death of Jesus upon a cross.

Part Two: Why Jesus Was Raised

In part two of An Easter Series, Dr. John Neufeld looks into the second fundamental question of the Easter season: Why was Jesus raised from the dead? The story of the resurrection is necessary. The empty tomb of Jesus teaches us that the sting of death has ended. Jesus' body begins to breathe, he stands, the door of the tomb is rolled aside, he steps out and forever changes the hope of everyone who believed that there was a God who would have mercy on us. This day is a day of celebration. He is risen, and in the risen Christ we find our hope!
